Economic Impact of Oral Health on Patients’ well-being

The healthcare has seen a tremendous change in the last decade and it impacted physicians and dentist alike; ranging from merger and acquisition, to baby boomers being  over 64 years of age in 2025 with all the challenges of the aging population that will be living longer with all sort of chronic conditions. Periodontal disease is impactual on oral health and on the general health. It has an economic impact on this population that is living longer. 
On the other hand, a lot of investors are entering the healthcare space . The young dentist and physicians are choosing to work for corporation instead of owning their own practices.  Older  physicans and dentists that want to retire are forced to sell  their practices for corporation because of that. The patient is in the middle  and suffers the consequences good or bad.
